The Jerusalem temple at the time of Jesus was one of the most impressive sights in the ancient world. Yet Jesus saw beyond the earthly splendour of the buildings and knew that its glory was momentary. In this passage he points the disciples beyond the architectural splendour and makes a series of prophecies about the future.
